Should I bring my favourite lipstick?
If you wish to achieve your favourite lipstick look, please bring it with you. We will custom blend pigments for a similar result.
Can permanent cosmetics cause cold sores?
No, they do not cause or create cold sores, but if you carry the virus, it can be aroused by the treatment.
I have a history of cold sores, can I have a lip treatment?
Contact your GP to obtain medication to prevent outbreaks. Begin using the medication one week before and continue one week after treatment.
I have a cold sore on my lip at the moment; can I have a lip treatment?
No. Lips must be fully healed.
Can I have a lip wax or bleaching treatment before a lip treatment?
Yes, but not for at least 1 week prior to your Permanent Cosmetics lip treatment.
Will the lips treatment hurt?
Topical numbing cream is used to minimise discomfort, but lips can be more sensitive than brows or eyes due to the larger surface area and greater blood supply.
What will my lips look like immediately after the treatment?
You may experience swelling and redness for approximately 48 hours, followed by tenderness, flaking, and dryness for 2-5 days. If you are feeling less than 100% healthy, it may take longer to heal.
